have a 91 f150 2wd the brakes starting going out lastnight everytime i go to park the brakes go to the floor. found a buddle of brake fluid under the truck. the steel line that runs from the driver side by the tire to the pass side tire has a hole in it on the drivers side. how hard of a fix is this?

That will totally depend on your level of skill. I would guess that to be low just by the fact that you asked the question. I would take it to a qualified brake shop and have them fix it. Better safe then sorry.

Well this is not just a snap and swap kind thing. You need to make sure the fittings at tight but not too tight. You must also bleed the brakes and refill the system as you go.doing all of this without getting air into the rest of the lines. One of these things not done correctly and you could put others people in danger. At the very least get in touch with a member or friend that knows what they are doing to physically sit and help you do the job.

Things could seem fine at first but then go very bad very fast if the line springs a big leak while your going down the freeway or whatever.

Brakes are one thing a DIY'er needs to know or just bite the bullet and have a shop do it. So start to justify the cost because believe it or not your not the only one on the road.
