06 and 09 wheels interchange?

Does anyone know if the Saleen wheels I have on my o6 F-150 will fit on my wifes 09 expedition. Are the tire pressure sensors the same?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

They should fit. I'm not sure if they use the same sensors. You could check and see if the part numbers are the same for the two. At the least they will have to be recalibrated.

There is another thread around stating there is a problem using wheels from the 04-08 on the 09 up. I will probably find out this weekend as I will be trying to put my old 17" extra OE wheels on for the winter.
As far as the TPMS sensors, an 06 did not have any, so if you don't want to deal with the light you will need to get a set of the type that fits on the valve stem.

There are pictures now on that thread. The wheels seem to be aftermarket, not OE, so maybe it will be okay.

2005 rims on a 2009???

Right, but the Expy's are unchanged for 2009.

So can I take the band type tps out of the 20 inch 09 wheel and put it in the 23" Saleen wheel? OR, where is the best place to get some tp sensors that will work with the 23 inch wheel on a 09 Expy?

Thanks for the responses,
Tim

I would just put the TPMS sensors in a pipe bomb and be done with it.

I agree. They are more trouble than they are worth.
