Thermoquiets Which ones?

I want to get a full set of brake pads for my 2004 FX4 screw

I looked at rock auto and that is where i plan on ordering them from but which ones do i need? My VIN doesn't contain a "K" or a "N". So which ones do i need?

Not sure what the question is. There were some early 2004s that had smaller calipers. Could this be the issue? I just bought a set at a parts store for my 2005, and the fronts are MX 1083.

I have the ceramics. The part numbers for those are QC1083 front and QC1012 rear. I believe that the non ceramic begin with a MX?

Yes, you are correct. MX for the semi-metallic, and QC for the ceramic.

Me too. I may have paid a little more, but I walked into O'Rielly's, wrote a check and walked out with them. This second set, is really feeling great. The rotors were not scored at all and I did not turn them. Put 82,000 on the first set of Wagners, and the rotors have 51,000 on them. They were replaced due to bearing failure.

I tossed up between ceramic and semi, i ended up with ceramic, glad i did, and if it does indeed warp my rotors at some point i wont mind because i'm planning rotors this spring.

I have a 2004 built in April '04, my VIN had an N, are you sure you are reading your VIN correctly? or is it a Canadian built truck? I have pad part# QC1083 in the fronts, QC1012 rears.

ok, first digit 1 means its American assembled so i'm surprised there is no K or N. The build date is on the sticker in your door jam on the upper left portion of it.
