I think the sensor is tied in with your valve stem, so I would say no.

Yes you can, but you will need new straps to hold the sensors on to the wheel. Even if you have the valve stem type, which I believe the started only on the 09, you can purchase valve stems that the sensor screws on to.

yea you can put your factory sensor in a aftermarket wheel, ford wheels have what they call "band sensors", its pretty much a giant hose clamp with a sensor that slides on it, i work at discount tire and plenty of these come through

You will have to replace the bands, since they are not reusable. Very expensive from Ford, so your best bet is aftermarket. What you will have to transfer is the sensor and the cradle that holds it.

Not sure what the aftermarket bands cost, but the Ford bands are about $40-$50 each. I believe you can get all 4 aftermarket for the price of one from Ford. Do a search, as I believe some have listed the price they paid for the aftermarkets.
As far as disconnecting, you would probably have to rip the dash apart to do that, assuming you can get to it. More than likely, as the dash is one piece, you will not be able to do that.

Or you could save yourself the $$$ and headache and just drive around with a little tiny light on in the corner of the dash that you can barely see. If you adjust your steering wheel slightly you can actually block the light from your view. Thats what I do, a spec of light on the dash doesn't bother me unless its a check engine light. At least not enough to go ripping apart a dashboard!

You do not need aftermarket sensors, just the straps that hold them on to the wheel. Probably the cheapest component to replace. Only other cost will be to break down the OE tires to get the sensors.
