Tire Debate: BFG v ProComp

OK all, time for new tires for my truck - looking for some with experience with each and/or both of these options. My truck is an 04 supercrew (nbs) with a 6" procomp lift, 2wd.

Truck will see mostly road duty. Currently riding on a set of ProComp Xtreme AT tires, but I have no real way to rate these tires as the previous owner didn't rotate properly, so they had some pretty good cupping issues.

Basically, I want a good tire, that handles well in the wet, isn't scared of a couple trails (no heavy 'mudding'), and doesn't deafen you on the interstate.

Size I am looking at is 35x12.5r17 - exact size that I have on there now. Wheels are procomp wheels. looking for 'black letters'

Candidates are:

BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 - can get a set for $915.96
ProComp XTreme AT - these will be around $1136.00 FOR 4

Thoughts?

In the interim of posting this, I remembered how unhappy I have been with the ProComps - they have worn rather quickly in my opinion. I also remember my BFG All-Terrain TA's on my 01 screw just... lasting forever (It was a stocker though).

So, I went ahead and jumped on the KM2s. I know they will wear faster and be louder - but who cares. Plus, the instant $200 rebate at 4wheelparts.com was a big sales point.

And this was a very appealing picture: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/BigPic...wall=Blackwall

Now, to get some tire black paint or the like to apply to the white letters (which will be turned in, but I don't want them showing at all - and there was no all blackwall option).

BFG AT KO are the best road/trail tire out there... well worth the price. I've had mine in some nasty stuff and never skipped a beat. I was running Pro Comp Xterrains on my Jeep and hated them. That's the only Pro Comp tire I've ever ran though.

I had both of those tires and I'm much happier with the KM2's.
