Terra Grapplers - What PSI do you guys run

Just got home from getting new 295/70/17 put on, ill post pictures later, but they told me to run 35psi in them, based on the sticker in my door. Now the tire says Load D, 65 psi cold max and a buddy of mine told me the tire place is full of crap and I should run 50-55 psi in them.

Can you guys chime in and tell me what PSI I should run?

Definitely, 35 is way too low. A load range D with that max pressure should be run at about 45 on an F150. 50-55 would only be necessary if you wre maxed out in payload or towing.
At 35 you are just over half of what the tire is capable of handling at max pressure.

I agree 35 is too low. 42 to 45psi for everyday use.

Excellent, thanks guys. I aired them up to 50 and in the morning I'll check them all to see what the cold PSI is.

The numbers posted above, 40-45, are cold PSI correct?

Stock 255/70/17s? I ran mine at 40psi. Didn't care about wearing them down cause they were crap tires anyways.

WHAT???? How can you possible enjoy driving? I ran about 52 after I posted this thread then waited till morning to get a true cold reading. I dropped it down to 42-44 and still drives like a freakin bolder. The ride is BoUnCiNg as hell. Of course these are my first set of AT tires.
