I've got 2 screws in my front left Pirelli and a tear in the side wall on my right front from off-roading. Which is the best option for me?
I want the rugged look for my truck. Also, my commute is 75% Highway, 25% City during the school year, and 50/50 during the summer, so I want something that will ride and wear well.
I like the Coopers because my local shop is a cooper "specialist" and I can probably get a better deal on them then the other two, plus I get the lifetime "warranty" from them that covers everything except tread wear.
I have the 33x12.5x20 Toyo Open Country M/Ts on my truck now, I went from 33x12.5x20 Nitto Terra Grapplers to them and I think they are FAR better then the Nittos. they are the best all around mud tire for this truck. Not to mention the look fantastic, and have an aggressive look. They are a Great street tire surprisingly, you just have to keep rotating them on a regular basis, I do mine every time I get and oil change, which is every 3 to 5 thousand miles or so.

I had the STTs on my jeep and I loved them. They look great and there isnt too much road noise. They also worked really well in the winter time up in AK. So my vote is for the STTs
Chris - Go with the STT, im on my fourth set on my second truck...absolutely love them...and im getting right under 50,000 miles to a set on my screw...ive got them in a 33x12.50x17...they perform great offroad and clean out well and stand up well to nails, screws, and trail debris...ive had to pull two or three nails and such out of my current tires and have yet to have any of them actually penetrate into the tire...they all get stuck in the tough 8 ply rubber
The Toyos are going to be better on the street and much quieter than the Coppers, and they perform about the same in the dirt. Another factor, my Toyos took almost no weight to balance, they are one of the most consistent tires in the industry.
personally, i would've gone with the KM2's over my STT's if i had the extra cash, but i didn't really feel like forking out an extra 300-400 bucks. Only had my coopers a day, but i drove on them all day just about and they're not that loud at all. Toyo's are really good tires, but a ton of people have them (for good reason though), but i also wanted something that every one else didn't have. But if you can get a good deal on the coopers (which have the same basic tread design as the toyo's) with all the extra incentives, i say go for the STTs. I also think they might look a little better on 20s and 33s than would the others.
EDIT: I know sometimes it can be hit and miss with balancing the STTs or even big tires period, but mine took very little weight to balance and even the guy at Action Gator Tire was surprised
I have Toyo's and I am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the tire. Great ride, low road noise, great tread wear, and good off-road performance.
Both the STT and KM2's have a great aggressive look to them, but if money is not a concern then I would go with the KM2's they have better tread wear of the three. Just my 2 cents.
