Tire Size Question

Will a 285 70 17 fit on the stock 17" rim?

Tires

Have you put those tire on your truck yet? I am looking to put a little taller tire on my FX4 than the stock tire. I don't like the looks with all the room in the tire well. My are stock 17" and I'm not sure how much taller of a tire to put on. My speedometer reads about 3-4 mph faster than what I am actually going so bigger tires should fix that. Has anyone put taller tire on and do you like the way they look? Thanks

17x7.5 wheel, it will fit correctly no problem, and with enough PSI it should correct the speedometer.

Do they take up some of the extra room in the wheel well?
