new tires? HELP!

howdy all! i'm new to this forum and need a bit of help.

i've read through multiple posts on this site pertaining to tire sizes on a leveled 07 f150 fx4 and everyone seems to be saying different things so i need to get some concrete facts.

i have a 3" leveling kit installed on the front end of my 2007 f150 fx4. Stock 18"x7.5" wheels.

WHAT is the largest correct tire size (all terrains preferably) to put on this truck w/o wearing down the tire too much? i want to avoid dropping extra money on new wheels for now and do not want to trim anything as well as NO rubbing period!

Thanks for all your help in advance!

p.s. also any pictures with oem wheels would help alot!!

You can fit up to a 35x12.50-18 using your oem wheels, but they will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. If you don't want any rubbing at all, the slightly smaller BFG AT KO in the 305/65-18 (34x12.50) would be the largest tire you can fit.

No, sorry but those wheels won't work. The smallest wheels you can put on the 04+ trucks is a 17" wheel due to the size of the brakes.

A 325mm wide tire is too wide for the oem wheels and they would not fit with a wider aftermarket wheel. As a general rule on the new 4x4's, with a leveling kit you can fit a 35x12.50 by using the oem wheels or 33's with aftermarket wheels.

thanks for the info man.. i was thinkin of gettin the 325's on aftermarket 17" wheels if reasonably priced. i like the 305 bfg's on oem 18's but those tires arn't too cheap around here...

Personally, I think the best looking combo on a leveled 4x4 is a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire on a 18x9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing.
