“06” F150 (ABS light on) with break pad feeling spongy

ABS warning light came on right after I noticed that the breaks started to feel a little spongy when you put the breaks on. Once you pushed on the break pad and then released and pushed again it would go all the way to the floor. Miles on truck is 35640. Sent to the shop to see what is wrong with it. Anyone had this happen to them before?

new info

Well, I had to fly back to NY. So, now my truck is in SC. I called today and they said that the wire harness running under the truck from front to back is starting to melt. That the wires have become connected some how and that I am lucky that the truck didn’t catch on fire. Oh, and they say that the part is on back order. Just great.

Yea, I called the Ford dealership here in NY were I bought the truck. They got me a rental and found the wire harness and has it being shipped to SC for me. They say that the truck will be fixed on Tue if the part is in on Monday.
