17 X 8.5" Aftermarket Wheels

Looking to replace my stock wheels and I want to stay with a 17". The widest I can go is 8.5" because of my tires. I have 265/70/17 BFG A/T KO's. I have no idea where to start. Anyone here have any suggestions on a good quality wheel that won't break the bank? Thanks in advance.

walker evans racing makes a 17x8 1/2. they make wheels for every bolt pattern and have different back spacing options. i had them on my 05 f-150 and currently on my f-350. the other plus there are not too many trucks with this wheel.

The Eagle Alloy, Mickey THompson and Pro Comp wheels are great values.

I am looking at some eagle alloys online right now. Will my 265/70/17 fit on a 9 inch wheel? What backspacing would I need? Offset? Finish? I am clueless.

Yes, you can fit a 265mm wide tire on aa 9 inch wide wheel. I'd look for something between 5.5 and 6 inches of backspacing. You could use 5 inches of backspacing if you want the tire/wheel to stick out a little more.

How much would 5" backspacing stick out? 6"?

my 05s wheels had 5 inches of backspacing and did not stick out past the fender flares that came on the lariets.

Your OEM wheels are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of backspacing. So, a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing will stick out 2 inches farther. A9 inch wheel with 5.5 would stick out 1.5 inches farther and one with 6 inches would stick out an inch farther than the OEM wheels.

some guy is selling some beautiful weld velociti 6 xt forged chrome wheels (17 x 8.5) right now in the classifieds. he just emailed me the pics and if I had the money they'd be on their way to me right now. they've been on the road for 8000 miles, never in the winter, and he's letting them go for $800. they're $390.00 each brand new at discount tire.com
