tire size/body lift for '98 F-150

I have a stock '98 F-150 4X4. i want to put 16X8 rims on and would like to put 33/11.50/16 thornbirds on it. will these fit on my stock truck? i was also thinking of putting in a 3 inch body lift if i needed to in order to fit these tires. how much work is involved for installing a body lift?

You can easily fit a 33x12.50 using a 10 inch wide wheel on a stock 97-03 4x4 so you will have no problems. However, I'd suggest looking at other tires. THe Thornbirds are one of the worst tires ever made. They don't perform well off road and they are even worse on pavement. They are extremely loud, flatspot overnight and wear quickly in funny patterns.
As for a body lift, they are not that hard to install, but it is time consuming, tedious work. It took me an entire weekend to install mine, but I was basically working by myself most of the time.

For a bodylift, how hard is it to raise the cab up? the box sounds relatively easy, even though im sure its still awkward, but how tricky is the cab? Did you have to extend the brake lines or anything like that or were they all long enough?
