315/70/17 install update...

I had the Geolander HT/S G051 315/70/17's mounted and installed last night on the '04 Supercrew 4x4. Just an AS 2.0 leveling kit and there is plenty of room with not even a worry of rubbing. I have them on 17x9's. Tire is 34.6" tall and fills the wheelwell very nicely.Only drove about 40 miles so far but can really tell that they are going to provide the smooth ride I hoped for. None of the four took more than 1.5 oz to balance.
I will follow up after another 1000 miles which should come pretty quickly as I am headed to Troyers the week after next which will be 700 miles round trip..

Do you have any rubbing at all? Even at full turn or backing up?

What back spacing do you have on your wheels?

I just ordered some eagle alloy 187's 17x9 and now I'm looking for tires and a 2" leveling kit.

18" of snow on the ground yesterday morning and they were better than I expected given they are a highway all season tread.
I will be driving to Troyers next week for the dyno day which is 350+ miles of Interstate so I will let you know how they handle running 75+mph. I am sure someone there will be taking pics so I will get one posted as soon as I can.

Mark, I had the same setup on my truck but had the BFG A/T's on 17x9 w/5" BS but I had some minor rubbing when turning when backing up and when going offroad. Mine used to rub on the lower wheelwells. Now run 285's. Have 2 1/2" Daystar. Also mine sucked up the gas in stop and go traffic. Checked your mpg yet?

I've got the 315/70/17's with a 2.5" AS and I get very minor bit of rubbing with off road or backing up while turning on uneven terrain. That's it. Hardly ever happens and not very noticeable. They look mint!
