Wheel math

Question; The wheels I have order are 20"x9" with a 30mm offset. I will be putting nitto t/g 305/55 r20 tires on. With this set-up how much will my
tires sit outside of stock wheel wells? This is on a 2005 stx 4x4/ 2.5 lev kit.
Reason being I am installing ats fender flares and they said I will gain 11/4"
of coverage. I am hoping for a flush look.

thanks.

If my calculations are correct, your new wheels will stick out about 1.25" further than stock, so it should be perfect.

Slightly farther when you add in the added width of the tire.

Oops, I was figuring the stock backspacing as 6" but it's 5.5". So they would actually stick out .75" further than stock.

The new rims would have 6.25" of backspacing, which is .75" more than stock. Your new rims are 1.5" larger than stock so 1.5" - .75" = .75" Correct?

Well, the tire is 305mm wide, whereas the stock tire is 275mm wide (30mm difference) so 15mm of that will be sticking out on the inner and 15mm will be sticking out on the outer edge of the wheel.

So it seems I am going to be darn close to flush with fender flares.
The wheels should be on by tue so I will report back on the results.
But I do feel safe that I get the look I am going for.
thanks
