i found some rims from an 06 xlt 2wd on ebay. they look alot like the fx4 rims but anyway on the description it says they are 17x8.5. is this right or did he not type in the right numbers. i thought all the 17- 18 inch rims were 7.5'' wide no matter if they came on 2wd or 4x4. will they fit my 06 4x4?

 

I believe you are right about the 7.5" width. And yes they should fit fine.

 

I have the stock 20" Ford wheels for sale if interested? I believe those are 20x8?

 

i love the way that they look but i cant afford 20'' tires, 17s are bad enough. i appreciate the offer though.

 

I prefer the look of the 17s with a taller tire. Old fashioned I guess, but I like more rubber and I like the ride. I thought the bigger tires would not handle as well, but the opposite turned out to be true. Actually corner better than the stock tires.
