Tire size

Yet another tire size question. What is the biggest tire I can fit on a 2005
F150 2 wheel drive. 17 inch stock wheels. Thanks

I know with a leveling kit you could fit 285/70-17's. I'm not postive they would fit without one, but I bet they would.

I don't know if I should start a new thread, but since the title of this is generic, here goes.

What is the largest that I can fit on a 2000 F150 4x4 with stock 255/70-16? With no rubbing or other modification. I'm hoping to go with something like a 255/85-16 (~33x10) or maybe even larger. What would it take to go with a 33" tire?

Thanks,
Matt

You could go 305/70-16, or a step narrower with the 285/75-16. They'll both fit. On a factory width rim, I'd probably use the 285's though.
