By "E" tires, I pressume you mean load range. You can try searching for "LT" tires. Usually, the LT designation means the tire has a higher load capacity than standard "P" series. I beleive they range from 6 ply to 10 ply.

My question would be why do you feel you need LR E tires? A LR C tire will handle more than you would ever put in your truck. As an example, a LT265/70R17 LR C will handle almost 2500lbs per tire. That would be a max weight of 5K on an axle. 1000lbs higher than what your axle is rated at.
I will not use P series myself, but the LR C tires can handle an F150 no problem, and for cheaper than what a LR E would cost.

I was not aware off the options and specs. I had the crapy P's on the truck when I got it. They bulged out so bad with no load on it I did not feel it was safe to put my trailer on it. went out today and got a set of BFG T/A KO 265/70R17's in the C range. Thanks for the help

Pressure wise, you will want to run them at 38-40. Do not use what is on the door sticker. That is for p series tires.

Most P-rated tires in 265/70R17 are rated for about 2500-2600 pound, which is plenty for 1/2 ton pickup duty. Most C/D/E load rated tires are 3000+ pounds. Overkill for F-150's with a penalty of a stiffer ride.

C ranges are rated at 2500lbs, not 3000. Most p standard load series are rated at 2100-2400. Only p series extra load are rated above that. Only in the D and E load ranges do you get to 3000lbs or above.

Those numbers are straight from the BFG and Goodyear sites.

Every tire size has its own load rating for P type tires.

Tirerack.com. Search for tires in 265/70R17. Most 'P' tires are 113 load rating which is 2535 pounds. You will also find some 112 load C tires that are actually lower, 2470 pounds. Go up to 285/70R17 and the Bridgestone Revo has a 117 p-rated @ 2833 pounds. Looks like every 265/70R17 has at least 2470 pound rating. So, ignore the type and look at the specific tire specs/ratings for the given size you are interested in. Load C/D/E is unimpartant in most 4wd F-150 tire sizes.

Yes the Revo is a p series extra load, not standard load. Extra load has a max psi 0f 44, where is standard load has a max of 35. Big difference in the tires. The extra load is closer to the LR C, although I prefer the extra sturdiness of a LT tyire of a p series.
