Question Tire Help

I am looking to buy new tires for my 04 F150 FX4. I want to keep the factory rims. I have a leveling kit that i installed. I have seen people have said that the nitto 325/60 18 will fit, and I am wondering if I could see some pics. I dont want it to look like they are just stuffed in there, so if there is any other size that would look good please let me know. Thank you.

Those are the new 305/65-18 BFG's. They'd fit better.

I agree. A 325mm wide tire is a little too wide for a 7.5 inch wide wheel.

Thanks for your help. I wanted to put the 325/60/18 so I guess I will buy new rims 18x9. Does anyone have any pictures of this type of set up so I can get a look. Again thanks for your help.

Will the 35x13.50 baja claws fit on the factory wheels with only a leveling kit? Factory 18" wheels are all i can afford right now, and the fx4 wheels look good enough to me.

I'm getting ready to order my black/silver Ultra Goliaths in 18x9 with 325/60-18 Toyo Open Country AT's. I'll post a pic when they get here.

Those tires are probably too wide for your 7.5" factory rims.

Would they look stupid, or just not fit right? I probably can't afford the claws anyway.

When you put a very wide tire on a narrow rim, it causes the center of the tread to bulge. It also puts extra stress on the bead.

A 35x13.50 is too wide for a 7,5 inch wheel. They are about 1/2 inch wider than the 325/60-18's and 325/65-18's. The center portion of the tread would probably wear pretty quick.

Even a 12.50 inch wide tire is slightly wider than recommended for a 7.5 inch wide wheel. Most tire manufacturers recommend an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel for 12.50 inch (305 or 315mm wide) width tires. I wouldn't have a problem using a 12.50 inch wide tire on a 7.5 inch wide wheel because several members at FTW and a few here have done so with no problems for tens of thousands of miles.
