New 305/65/18's on stock FX4 rims (pics)

Well Tuesday after leaving campus for home I picked up 70 screws between all 4 tires. Due to the punctures of some of these screws they couldnt patch or fix them. Besides that they where almost gone anyway, so I had to replace them and it just so happens there was one set of the 305's in town, otherwise it would have been the 285's. I wasnt the only one though all that day the discount tire in town fixed over 50 cars w/ the same screws in them one car had 22 in one wheel (supposidly the lady that hit the box after it fell off some truck). These tires are actually alot taller and wider than the pictures are able to portray. They are massive compared to the stock size, but I love them. I know some guys out there where thinking of doin a 33x12.5 or the 325's on stock rims rather than the 305's, id suggest trying to see the 305s in person i think they are great!! There is more pics in my gallery, along w/ pics of the maglite mount i did today.

Hey man, can you take measurements from the ground to the center of the wheel well for the front and back? I'd like to get those tires and want to know how much height I'll gain. I'm thinking of doing the 2" AS, still debating about the AAL...

Ive got them, i just need to upload them. Ill also try to get better pics, these arent the greatest the weather is crappy though. I think it added another inch+ a bit. The front was about 41" and the rear 42"

EDIT: NCSU I added the pics w/ measurements to my gallery.

Those tires look great! Are your stock rims 7 1/2" wide? I have been quoted $235.00 each for the same size tire in 17". I think that's what I am going to get in a few weeks.

Thumbs up Looks Good!

I like the way they look they make the truck look stout I personaly don't like it when the tires stick way outside the wells. Like your set-up.

I got a 05 screw lariat 4x4 with the 2" AS and the 305's, and I could not agree with you more, pictures do not do these tires justice, they make the truck look 100% bigger and better, love mine but kinda wish I got the 35" BFG MT.

What is the minimum left needed to fix these 305’s on the 18” factory wheels, if any?

From what everyone told me, you need to get aleast the 2" leveling kit, but I think someone said that you could run them without the kit but they will rub like hell. Mine do not rub at all with the 2" so I would go with that.

Reply, I have aftermarket rims in 18X9 with 5.39" bs. Mine only rubbed on the inside fender flare. Does yours come close to it?
