Chrome wheels in winter

I know you're not supposed to drive with chromed wheels in the winter, but is there anything you can do to them (a protectant or something) that makes it any safer so you don't lose the shine from all the salt?
Thanks

I see you're from Calgary and I have the same problem here in North Dakota. I like Mothers chrome polish alot but I think the best advice I can give you is to keep them cleaned regularly. I've seen that if you keep them dirty for too long, they start to stain and it's a pain to scrub off the dirt and etc. I use windex on mine about once a week and it works great! Works for me.

Yeah, just clean them. You do not want the road salt to stay on the chrome for too long.
