Tire Pressure Help

Newbie here, just got a 2000 F 150. Came with relatively new Goodyear P275/60R17 Eagle GTII tires with a max pressure of 44 psi. Door panel says 26 front 32 rear. Sound too low to me. Can this be right?

I would say no as what came on the truck was probably standard P series tires. I would try somewhere around 38 to start.

Even on standard p series, that 26/32 sounds low. Most now are being run at around 35 on the door.

That tire size does not look right. Are they P265/70/17? You should run between 32 – 35 psi.

Tire sized has nothing to do with the pressure. It is the load range.

Thanks for the input. They are P275/60R17. I've got them all at 32 now. I'll pump them up and see how she rides.

Keep an eye on them for wear, either outside or inside and adjust accordingly. I wouldd not go any lower if it is wearing on the inside than 35.
