2005 Fx4 f-150 tire question

Hey everyone I was wondering if anybody could help me with an issue i have. I would like to get Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 33" or 35" if it will work with no rubbing. I don't really have the cash right now to buy new wheels and want to use the oem 18" x 7.5" wheels. Does anybody know what sizes i need to be looking at, i don't understand tire sizes too well and want to make sure everything will work out. I don't care if the tires stick out of the wheel wells. The truck has a leveling kit (2.5 inch) as well. Thank you guys in advance, I really appreciate it.

As a general rule, on a 04-007 F-150 4x4 with a leveling kit, you can fit 35x12.50's using the OEM wheels or 33's using aftermarket wheels. If you are going to an aftermarket wheel in the future, I'd go with a 33 inch tire. Since you want Terra Grapplers, I'd suggest going with a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) and later installing them on a set of 18x9 aftermarket wheels because they are a little too wide for the OEM 18x7.5 inch wheels.

Thank you again for the help I think i will just buy the 33's and save up for the wheels and put them on at a later time, has anbody heard how the Terra Grapplers wear. Just today i was told they have a very soft composition, has anbody else heard this?

They are an excellent tire. Seems that people are not having problems getting over 40,000 out of them.

Because he only has a leveling kit and he didn't mention adding a suspension or body lift in the future. You will have problems fitting a 35x12.50 with aftermarket wheels and just a leveling kit unless the wheels are almost identical to the OEM's. Remember, wheel width and backspacing are just as important to tire fitment as the amount of lift you have.
