Alrightee here we go, after ordering new rims, american racing spine 18X8.5 by 18", and new tires ( Nitto Terra Grappler all terrains 325/60/18) I swing by the shop to make an appointment. Guys there tell me to look forward to some major vibrations because of the wider contact patch of the larger tires are fighting against the current rack and pinion we have in my 04 FX4 4wd super cab.
They had a brand new (mounted once) set of BFG's there , the new size 305 something... said the have tried to mount larger tires on 3 diferent F150's in theh last month, couldnt do anything to get rid of the vibration except put on the 285's. Said we cant put steering stabalizers on unless we lift the truck ???

Alright ,, who's got the vibrations ?? and what am I in for ????

 

i have the new 305 BFG with no problems or viabrations at all, they ride great, they might not be balancing them right or something like that, but I have not had one problem with mine and im sure plenty can agree with that statement

 

sounds like you need to go to a different shop! i have 37" tires on a 20" rim and they dont vibrate or shimy or shake at all!

 

I have a set of American Eagle 187 18x9 and 325x60x18 ProComp Xtreme AT's and I had vibrations from 50-70. It was bad at times, I could look in my side view and rear view and see my bed shake. After much searching and investigating I read about road force blance. I called around to find a road force balancer and took it in and ever since then I have had a smooth ride. I Read on here also that some people took it in and it didnt fix anything sometimes made it worst. In my case it made mine better. I would call around and find who has a Road Force balancer.
