hey guys ive been browsing this forum for quite a while now, and im still pretty much a newbie at these things.
im looking at buying some 20" rims for my black 2006 f150 (lariat).

any suggestions? pros? cons?

also, i was wondering about a lift. how much would one cost? i know there are different kinds, what im looking for is simply some decent sized tires to accomodate the rims. so i guess like a 2-3 inch lift? how much would that cost (the lift)? all the help the great, ive been viewing the trucks posted here and theyre simply awesome.

You can buy a 2 or 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit for about $100. If you have a 4x4, I'd suggest a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire on an 18x9 inch wheel with 5.5 or 6 inches of backspacing.

Many here have the 2" AutoSpring (spacers) leveling kit. In addition, some of us got an Add-A-Leaf kit to raise the rear a bit so the nose doesn't sit up too high in relation to the butt. I got these mods installed for about $500-$600 total (can't really remember now).

I have noticed no difference in my ride quality except that it improved when I was able to put 34" tires (stock were 32" with little sidewall) on my OE 20's.

I measured a 3" increase at the tow hooks and about 2.5" at the rear bumper. I neglected to measure the fenderwells, which would have been proper.

What wheels did it come with? I assume 18x7.5 inch? You will be able to get some good-sized meats on the OE wheels if you want to save some $$ and keep them. If you insist on aftermarket wheels, others will have to guide you. No experience here.
