6" too much backspace ??

well i thought i had it all figured out. i was going to get the moto metal 951B in 18x9 with the +30mm offset which is 6.1" of backspace since they would only stick out about 1" past my stock wheels. i didn't want the ones with -12mm offset and 4.5" backspace because they would stick out 3" past my fender. i want to fit 33" or the 34" BFG in there and i didn't think it would be a problem with a 2" leveling kit. then i thought hey, maybe a wider tire might rub on the arm if the backspace is greater than the stock 5.5". well i turned my wheels hard to the left and ducked my head inside the wheel well and low and behold i see that there is only like 1" of clearance now with my stock 18x7.5 wheels and 275/65/18 GY. i don't see how i will be able to fit a wheel with another 0.6" of backspace and then a wider tire in there without it rubbing. i don't see how it wouldn't rub.

take a look at my gallery. i put a camera back there and took some pics.

It will be tight but I havn't seen any post by members of any rubbing. The 22x9.5's on my Expy (same wheel as F-150) have 6.7 inches of backspacing. I don't have any rubbing with a 305/45-22 tire. It is close, but there is no rubbing.
