Happy New Years

I have a 2004 Fx4!! I want know if it would be smart to go with a nitto mud Grappler or a All terain tire on the stock rims as far as how long it will last and look because the Nitto looks sweet. I have a leveling kit already but i need to buy tires for my truck so instead of buying the stock tires, i wanted to go ahead a buy the tires im putting on the truck after my rize lift 8 inch. Can i put the 35-1250-18 on my stock rim now until i get my lift!!! I like the look of the Nitto mud grappler but...... How long do they last for 1500 dollars....

Thanks guys "happy new years"

& im guessing youre going with the rize 6"
theyre pretty good tires
im thinkin 40k if you keep everything right

Yes, you can fit a 35x12.50 on your truck using the OEM wheels and a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit. However, I would not go with the Mud Grapplers. Several members here and FTW have used them and hated them. The main complaints are the noise and the treadlife. They are very loud, even by mud tire standards. If you want a mud tire, the Toyo MT, BFG MT KM or the Mickey Thompson MTZ would be a much better choice.

Wandell is correct, unless you drive strictly dirt roads and mud you will be lucky to see 25K without seeing some major wear.
