295/70-17's

Hello! I just got my 2" Autospring Leveling kit for my 04 F150 2wd and was wondering if I could clear 295/70-17's without rubbing at all. I like the way Oxlander's truck sits with the 295's but if it will rub I'm going to have to go down a size that doesn't. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the OEM wheels or aftermarket wheels. If you are using the OEM wheels, I'd guess that they will fit. However, I don't know of anyone using that combo on a leveled 4x2. Several people have fit 285/70-17's though.

I am using the OEM wheels. I think the 285's may be my best bet. I found where 'Budha05STX' is running a 2" AS and the 285's and it looks real good. Thanks for all of your help and have a Happy New Year!

Thanks fordsoldier, I've looked at Oxlander's truck and love the way it looks. However I only have the 2" not the 2.5". I priced some Cooper Discoverer ST's yesterday and it turns out that 285/70-17's must be an odd size because they were going to be $876. Now I have to figure out if there is a way to save some cash somewhere.

Im sure you will be happy with your cooper tires, they are not bad tires. I have never had a set of them but I have always heard good things.

Tires

I just put a front lift on my 05 4x4 stx, Then put 285/70/17 on my stock rims, Have hankook MT's, I haven't any rubbing at all, wish i went bigger (295). Took out the ohter day at roush creek motor park in central pa., did very well. 295's should be no problem. One of the riders that went with us had coopers on his jeep, they did very well, Go to discount tire I got my 4 tires & free replacement, free shipping All for 700.00

I can get some 35x12.50-18" hankook mt's at a local tire shop for about $280 a peice mounted and balanced. Should I go for it? Never heard of hankook tires, but have found mostly good reviews online.
