Red face ?In the Market for Tires? Suggestions Please!

Hey Girls and Guys, Im kinda new to the online forum thing so I dont have any pics yet but im working on it sorry. Anyway I've got a red 03 F150 SuperCrew its got a tan stripe around the bottom. Oh yeah its an FX4 with a heavy duty chrome brush guard, and custom dual exhaust...ventvisors bugflector and steps. Ok nuff with the small talk...it currently has the factory Goodyear Wrangles At/S tires...they are practically bald...im lookin for some new tires. My dad is actually gonna buy them for me if they are reasonably priced. My top two at this are the Summit Mud Dawg's and Maxxis Buckshots. Any feed back on these two tires would be awesome. Also has anyone experienced any "scrubbing" issues with moving from a 265(standard) tire to a 285 tire...thats all on a factory ride height. Thanks Alot

I like the look of the 285/70/17 REVOS. Wish I got them instead of the 265's!

I just had a set of 285/75 Widetrack (actually Bridgestone) Baja M/Ts, kinda extreme for a normal tire but great in the mud...and cheap, around 140-150 a tire. They come in blackwall too, real bad a**.

Welcome to the site! Yes, you can easily fit 285/70-17's (33x11.50) on a 4x4. Also, keep in mind, tires are one of those things that you tend to get what you pay for. I've read a lot of favorable reviews on the Maxis Buckshot Mudders. If you can't spring for BFG MT KM's, Goodyear MTR's or Toyo MT's those wouldn't be a bad choice at all.

Thanks Everybody!

Thanks everyone for your input. However I am going a different path...my dad found this tire he likes, a Summit Mud Dawg. I am going with the 285/70/17. The tires are ordered and should be put on right after January 1st. Thanks Again
