Moto Metal 951

I want to put a set of Moto Metal 951, 17x9, with 305-70-R17

Will the 17inch 951 clear an 05 brake caliper? I tried searching but found nothing specifically on the 951 with 05 calipers.
Thanks
Justin

You can check out the link below from the aftermarket tires/wheels section. Lots of different rim/tire combinations. There might be info on the set up your looking for.

I recently put 17 X 9, 4.5 backspacing, 951s on my 2005 F150 Screw, 4 X 2. I was going to put a 2.5 AS leveling kit on it (even went as far as buying one) but once I saw how it looked there was no way I was going to change the appearance. I did have to trim a little off of the wheel well but you could never tell. I have them riding in 285/70R17 Toyo Open Country ATs. I'll have pics up soon but I couldn't be happier.

I would really like to see what it looks like. I just dont want the tires to stick out to far, and I am also worried about rubbing because, I am looking at 305-70-R17 MTR's

Please post pics when you get a chance.

I've got 315-70-17's BFG AT's on Procomp 1079's with 4.75 of backspacing on my 2006 FX4 with a 2.5 autospring. I trimmed the front valence and added a screw in the back of the wheel well to attach the plastic to the body mount. I get a little rub if I'm 4 wheeling with the wheels cranked to the left or right, but nothing at all driving around on the streets. I'll get some photos up in the next week. My tires stick out of the fenderwells by maybe an inch or so.

Well, the setup that I am looking at should be similar then, because I will have .25 less backspacing, but will have a little less width on the tire, evening it out a bit. If anyone reads this thread and can give me an idea on how much difference the combo I am thinking of doing will be from stock, It would much appreciate it. :santa:

I am going to get some MM 951's and have a question. I have a 07' Lariat Screw and going to put on the AS 2.5". How much will the difference of the tire sticking out be from the Moto Metal 18X9 with +30...6.18" and the 12mm....4.53" sizes. I am going to run the Pro Comp Xtreme AT 33x13.5x18. I love the look of djh1121's truck ( https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=7916) but don't want the tires sticking out that far. Does he have the 4.5" you think?thanks in advance

I believe his have 4.5 inches of backspacing. A 18x9 with 4.5 inches of backspacing will stick out 2.5 inches farther than the OEM wheels. THe 18x9's with 6.18 inches of backspacing will stick out about an inch farther than the OEM wheels.

Cool...so the 6.18in. will be about an inch past OEM total including the tire. I know I will have to trim the front fender valence but do you think there will be any other clearence issues? I appreciate your help

Well, you will have to factor in tire buldge because you will go to a wider tire. I doubt you have to trim any with a leveling kit, that wheel and a 325/60-18 tire (33x13.00).
