Maxxis Buckshot Mudders 2002 FX4 F150

I have been looking at getting some Buckshots Mudders. What size would go best with all factory settings and factory rims (17x7.5), LT285/70R17 or
LT305/70R17? Would there be much difference in these two sizes? I would like to go with the 305's but I don't want to have to trim any bumpers or change any of the torsion bars. Also, would I still get the same gas mileage or would it get worse with every next size up? any answers or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks Calvin

I personally dont like to recommend going bigger than a 285 with the stock wheels, although Ive seen quite a few people run the 305s on the stockers with no issues (you have to run the PSI lower to keep them wearing evenly, since they are a little wide for the stockers).

The 285s will fit without any sort of modification. You probably have the 265s now, I doubt you will notice too much of a difference in gas mileage, just keep in mind your speedo/odo will be a tad bit off since these tires are a little taller.

The 285 is about a 33x11.5, whereas the 305 is about 33x12.5. The 265s are something like a 32x10.5...

If you dont want to crank the torsion bars a little then stick with the 285's
