Rear disc brakes on a 97

Hey guys/gals getting bored with my 97 F150 4x4 xcab and am thinking of spicing it up was thinking lift kit, big tires, gear change(4:10) and while I was at it all I was thinking of swapping the rear end out for one with disc brakes, anyone done this? Difficulty factor??

I'm pretty sure you can just swap in disc brakes without too much trouble... I'd like to do this too, I know a friend of a friend who has done this before... but I haven't talked to him in a while.

Get a rear end from a '97 Expedition...they had disc brakes. Plenty of those in the salvage yards.

I've also got a '99 with drums that I want to swap for discs. (4x4 with ABS)

How involved is this procedure?

I am thinking about the Expedition rear swap too.
Has anybody done it, or have more info?

Sounds easy enough to me if it's a bolt in and no cutting/welding required. Any ideas what the Expedition rears would cost. Hopefully the Expedition had optional 4.10/4.11 gears and you could kill 2 birds with one stone.
