still shaking 325/60/18
I purchased a set of 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grappler's and American Eagle 18" rims the other week. I put the 2" leveling kit on the front of my truck to make them fit. The problem I'm having is that I have taken it to my tire dealer 3 times now and the steering wheel still shakes or shimmies. The first time when you got it between 60-70 it would start shaking. I carried it back, then if shook between 50-65. I just carrried it back yesterday and now it shakes between 50-60. Anyone have any ideas for the explanation of this? I have had them re-balanced 3 times and they are still not right. It's just getting real aggrevating. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem. I have had mine balanced 3 times but the shake doent get any better. I have owned several trucks and all of them have had larger tires but I have never had a problem like this. I'm looking into purchasing the Fabtech steering stabilizers. Maybe that will help.

I have had several trucks also with lift and tires. I have a 95 Bronco with 6" lift and 35's on it now and it drives as smooth as can be. I had a Tahoe w/ 3" lift and 33's---no problem there. I have done just about everything with this ordeal. I have the exact same setup as yours. Rims and tires are same. It is just getting aggrevating everytime I drive the truck. Where can I purchase and how much do the stabilizers run?

Alot of times tires need to be roadforce balanced. They have machines that pinpoint where the tire needs to match up with the wheel. They also have force indicators that vary with the tire. Some only give 6 lbs. (good) where others give 30+, indicating a out of round tire, bent wheel or blem. There a few places that do this, but normally are at dealerships. I see you live in the Valley. Try King Ford or Mike Patton Ford in Auburn. Also, Victory Ford in LaGrange is pretty good, too.
I may be wrong, but I recognize your last name. I grew up in Lanett. I know a guy named Gabe Bunn, but if I'm wrong, I apologize.
Good luck with the tire issues.
