What tires should I go with?

I currently own a 2005 F150 Lariat 2wd. The car currently has the stock 18" Lariat wheels, but I plan on using my friends 18" FX4 wheels and also adding an autospring 2" or 2.5" leveling kit. I am looking for a larger tire that will fill up the wheel-well as much as possible and raise the truck up a little more. I looked into lift kits for my truck, but they are too pricey for me. I've spent a lot of time with the search feature, but most people have a 4x4 truck or a lift kit installed, so I couldn't find an exact match to my truck.

Thanks for your responses!
Michael

PS- Pictures would also be GREAT if you have any!

I believe most members are running 33's on the factory wheel with a leveling kit. Some with a lift are running 35's on the factory wheel. You should be able to fit larger tires on the 4 wheel drive models due to the extra clearance, but your 4x2 may only go up to 33 with the leveling kit. I and a few others here have not recommended 35's without a full lift due to clearance and rubbing issues that may occur. I have a leveling kit and 33's on my fx4 wheels and am very happy with the setup.

Thanks for the reply TX. I'm not really good with the tire numbering system, so what size would the 33's convert to? I have spoken with a member on this forum who is running MT ATZ 325/60/18. Would these wheels fit on my car properly with a 2.5 leveling kit? I won't have a problem taking my dremel the the inner fenders if need be.

Thanks again for all of the help!
Michael

285/65-18's are essentially 33x11.50-18's. 325/60-18's are essentially 33x13.00-18's. The problem with the 325/60-18's is that they are a little too wide for the OEM 18x7.5 inch wheel, but a couple of members are running them with no problems.
