Nitto Mud Grapplers or Toyo MT?

Well it will be awhile before i get my lift and wheels but wanted to decide on tires for the future. I absolutely love the look of the nitto mud grapplers but am worried at the noise and tire ware. The toyos look sick but the tread is not as agressive. I dont do much offroading...just every now and then. And do some highway driving. Which would you get?

twstd02,

how exactly did you get your handles and mirrors painted? Did you get the chrome mirror covers and paint them or what? What about the handles, did you get the LT handles already painted or did you have to paint them? About how much did it cost to do those 2 things? Looks good.

I had my local body shop sand the texture off the OEM mirros and handles, then paint them. The turn around time was 1-1/2 days and no $$ out of pocket. "Sponsorship" I would guess it would cost around $300-$375.

The whole process is pretty simple if you have a spray gun. You sand them the best you can, then spray a few coats of filler primer on them, sand it down again (until your satisfied), then spray the color down, let it dry, then spay 2-3 coats of clear.

Personally if it were me, I would choose the Toyo MT's. I think the toyos wear better than the Nittos do. Nittos look awesome, but the tread life on them are only about 35 to 40 thousand for an all terrain.

The Nitto Mud Grapplers are NOT an all-terrain tire.
