Rotors, calipers...warranty.
My 2004 F-150 is in the shop as we speak getting warranty issues taken care of before it rolls 36K. The rotors have been turned once before around 20K for the sqeaking noise. That helped at the time, but now at 35K they are squeaking again. The service manager took a long ride with me as we talked about various issues. I asked him about the rotor update and he didn't seem to know about it or volunteer any information.
He called yesterday to inform me that they turned the rotors again and put new calipers on the front. Should I demand this rotor update for warped rotors? (TSB 05-21-19)

TSB advice
I have a 2004 XLT with just over 10,000 miles on it. I wasn't having any problems with my brakes but when I found the TSB about the new rotors and calipers, I took my truck in. Told the service advisor that I thought my rotors were starting to warp. I handed him a copy of the TSB (you can find it on here) and told him I'd like to have my truck repaired following the TSB. 24 hours later I picked it up with new rotors and calipers. They did not replace the pads. I'm sure if you show him a copy of the TSB and point out that it's covered by the warranty, they'll take care of you.

Thanks for the input guys. They turned the rotors again and installed new calipers and pads. There was no attempt by anyone to show me the condition of the rotors though. I might have to have them looked at by an outside source to determine if they are warped. I'd like to have them updated as long as the warranty covers it.

Took my truck in yesterday for brake shudder, they just called and said they replaced calipers and rotors under the service letter. Mine has just over 34,000 on it.
additional note, just picked it up and they had replaced just the front 2 rotors and calipers, the back really have no wear.

Turning the rotors down is fine, if you are doing normal maintenance, but I would be displeased having a relatively new truck having the rotors turned twice. The thinner the rotors become, the more likely they are to warp. I woud expect new rotors along with the new calipers and pads.
For the other guy that the dealer replaced the rotors and the calipers but not the pads, something sounds fishy. I guess they will break in, but I always change out the pads when resurfacing the rotors or drums.
Just my 2 cents.
Good luck guys.
