I am replacing the wheels on my 2003 F150 4x4 , with some Mickey Thompson classic 2 wheels + 285/70 16 tires, The factory wheels are hub concentric (wheel fits tight over the hub, doesn't need the lugs to center on) , are most aftermarket wheels ? Are our trucks sensitive to vibrations resulting to the non-concentric wheels ?
I own a Mark8 Lincoln and it is very sensitive to vibrations with the custom wheels , I had to make a set of aluminum rings to make up the space between the hub and wheel.
Anyone with custom wheels.

 

I have had no issues with the wheels I just put on my truck a couple of weeks ago. I bought them from Discount Tire and they are the MB Motoring brand. I haven't heard of any problems with aftermarket wheels that I recall.

 

Most aftermarket wheels are lug centric. A general rule is if the add doesn't say the wheel is hub centric, it's not. I've never had a problem with lug centric wheels.
