tire weight info

FYI in case anyone is wondering.

315/70/17 BFG Mud Terrain weighs 66 lbs.
265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler weighs 41 lbs.

25 lb difference. Ouch. I'm planning on going with the 315 MT's when these Nittos wear out and did some research to find out the weight difference.

25 lbs per tire is quite a hit to performance.

Guess I'll need those 4.56's!

Thanks for the info. The NITTO mud grapplers are a little over 80 pounds. Talk about a hit in performance. and from what I've read the NOISE too. I will be looking at 4.56 or 4.88 as well. Good luck, and thanks.

I weighed the stock Goodyear spare and wheel on my KR - 89.5 pounds ! It will sit in the garage unless I go out of town , then go in the bed for easy access .
