18 inch wheels

was thinking of changing my wheels to 18 inches 265/ 60, presently i use a 16/ 265-70. will this affect fuel consumption and power? i know the ride will be stiffer but since i do most driving on the pavement i dont mind a stiffer ride. now am just concerned about the possible power loss and consumption. thanks for the help

Your new setup will actually be an inch SMALLER in diameter. And technically you should notice a gain in performance if you go with that setup.

Stay away from 18's. I have them on my pickup and they suck. Not worth the extra money for tires. If you go up, go to 20's or 17's. The same size outside diameter tires are much cheaper with 20's or 17's than 18's.
