Any suggestions out there for some black wheels to put on my 04 Black FX4 SCrew? I really like the Helo Maxx 6's but there is some confusion if they fit or not. I also wanted to see what else was out there but I havent found much yet. I want to run the BFG AT KO's 315x70x17. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

I'm not a big fan of black wheels, but the Helo's do look the best IMO. As for fitment, it's the 05-06's that some aftermarket 17's don't fit. But, a member with an 05 recently fit 17 inch Helo's on his truck.

 

I have an '04 2 wheel drive and I was able to put 17x8 Helo Maxx 6's on 295-70-17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Check my gallery for pics.

I am hoping to put the 17x9 Black Helo's on with 315x70x17 BFG's. It probably wont be until spring since the weather will be getting bad soon but I figured I would start shopping. Thanks again.

If anyone has other suggestions for some black and chrome wheels or can photoshop my truck that would be great.

 

I originally wanted the 17x9's but the truck shop called the Helo dealer who told them that 17x9's would not fit the new f-150's but the redesigned 17x8's would, so I went with the 17x8's.

 

Well if that is the case then I will need to find a new rim because the tire size that I want needs at least 8.5" rim. Or maybe I will go with an 18x9 Helo and find a different tire.

 

There's nothing wrong with putting a 315 tire on an 8 inch wide rim. It's what I plan on doing very soon.

 

According to the BFG website, they recommend the 315x70x17 on 8.5" - 10" rim. After looking more closely I dont think I like the Helo as much as I thought. Found a nice 18x9.5 by Konig I might look into.
