I run Mastercraft Courser MSR studded LT265/70R17's load range E for my winter tires. Mastercraft = Cooper, same company. I have had a set before on a different F150 and they wore awesome. After two hard winters the studs were perfect and no evident wear to the tires....at least 15k miles in those two winters and at least 7k on dry pavement.

Cooper AT Tires
I had a set of Durango All Terrains (made by Cooper). Extremely good snow and mud traction - best of any AT tire I ever had and no more noisy than other agressive ATs I have had. One of the Cooper ATs has the same tread and specs. They were showing good wear characteristics when Hurricane Isabelle dropped a tree on the truck and totaled it.
I have a set of Nokian Vativas (make by Cooper for Nokian) on my 02 F150 4X4. They are less agressive (called an All Purpose tire) but have very good snow and ice traction. They are on track to give me about 38 to 42K miles. They are quiter, have better traction, handle better and ride better than the Wrangler RTS that they rreplaced.
I like Coopers, in fact I recently put a set of all season Cooper Lifline Touring on my 96 Tbird. They are T rated (factory spec and limited choice in that size) and cost about $30 per tire less in 2005 than the Michelin X1s they replaced cost in 2000. I didn't want to pay $120 or more per tire for Michelin Hydroedge which were about $45 to $50 per tire more than the Cooper. So far, I think the Cooper is as good as the Michelin X1, and I love Michelin tires.
I have had Cooper tires a number of times going back 25 years or more and I think they offer a very good tire for the price - depending on the retailer, of course.

The discoverer STT by cooper is awesome. Looks great and opens the market for 35's on 18" wheels as well as those who were originally looking at the TOYO mud terrains since the Tread seems almost identical with more aggressive side lugs. Good tires at a good price. But like mud terrains they do wear out sooner than AT. COOPER=GOOD
