Lightning Rims for my 2001 F-150

I'm not planning on buying any until tax return time this spring, but does anyone know of a good set Lightning rims for sale. I don't want chrome! I want the painted silver clear coat type. Not too flashy is my style. I hate chromed out wheels.

Also, will they just bolt up to my 2001 F-150 with no problems. What tire size was factory on those rims. Will I need to lower my truck to make them look decent, or what? I really don't want to lower because of the lessened ride quality.

Any response would be appreciated.

You won't like my chrome, but yes they fit. There may be some minor rubbing in tight turn, depending on your tire size. This was discussed in an ealier thread. Try a search.
I think the tire size was 295X45x18

yea dude, I like your rims on your truck. What year lightning rims are those. I would like the non-chrome for my ride though....personal preference.

Desparado,

your tires look hella fat on those rims! is that the factory lightning tire size on those rims? Did you lower your truck or is that the factory ride height? is yours a 4x4 or 4x2?

I can't wait until I get mine!!

Those are 285x60x18 Terra Grapplers, an all terrain tire. They are slightly taller than the stock tires that came on this truck, which is, by the way, a 4X4. The suspension is dead stock, no up, no down. The Harley style nerf bars on the side give it a slightly lower look. Good luck. You should be able to find stock wheels easily. Check the search feature, as some guys have had to make some minor adjustments on the 4X2 to prevent rubbing.
