Harley or Lightning wheels ...will they fit???

I have a 2001 F150 4x2 and wanted to get some new rims. I see a lot of good deals on harley and lightning OEM rims and tires. My question is will these rims fit my truck without rubbing?
Thanks,
BART

I have Harley wheels on my 02 Screw 4X2 with 275-45-20 Goodyears, and have had no problems at all.

Yes they will fit without rubbing as long as you don't go much over the stock overall diameter of tires.

One problem that is a possibility of encountering is with the increased width of wheel, you may potentially rub the inside of the tire on the frame on full extension steering. The Lightnings have steering stops installed so this won't happen, but I don't know if the Harleys have this or not. I didn't have any problems with my Harley wheels on my 2001 Supercrew 4x2, but I do with my 24" wheels, even with the Lightning steering stops installed. I just can't do a full on turn without scrubbing the inside of my tire on the frame. That's the only potential problem, but you probably won't encounter it with either the L or Harley wheels.

I have Harley wheels on an '01 Supercrew, and mine do rub from time to time, but they wouldn't if I had put stock size tires on. I have 285/50/20 - and it's not the height, it's the width (enter your own joke there . . .) The "stock" size tire on a Harley is 275/45/20 - about an inch narrower than what I'm running. Other than that, no probs at all!

They're all season GoodYear GT IIs for the Harley. Horrible tires by the way. I switched mine for Hankooks.
