Newbie here...33's or 35's?

First off, just want to say hello to all. I am both a newbie to this forum and trucks. I have been browsing the boards for a few weeks now, and still am having trouble deciding on what tires I want. Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

Here is my delima. My truck is an 03 Super Crew 4x4, 5.4L. I am not sure as to what gear ratio it has(hopefully someone can tell me how I would go about finding out?). From what I have read, 35's are harder as fas as tranny wear? And gearing will also be a factor? I love the looks of Wandell's truck on 33's, both with the 3" body lift and stock ride height. My next mod is gonna be wheels/tires and later on down the road, a 3" body lift. I am just afraid Ill get the 33's and wish I had gotten 35's. I know a simple solution would be get the 33's and if they dont do it for me, move them and get 35's, but money is tight and I want to get it right the first time.

What I need to see are pics of stock ride height and 3" body lift trucks with 33's or 35's. Before someone tells me to do a search, I have for the last week or so, and still havent found a pic that makes me want to go one way for sure. I am hoping someone has a pic they havent posted that will seal the deal.

Thanks in advance!

I have 33's on my truck. Stock ride height with torsion bars turned up. I wouldnt go with 35's becauseof all of the trimming you have to do. I would wait until I got the body lift to upgrade tires If I were you. I only have 33's and had to trim a big chunk of my front valance off. Check my Sig for more pics.

There is probably a tag on the rear ends cover that displays the ratio. Mine is 3.55. If you have 3.55's, I'd go with 33's. If you have 3.73's, I'd go with 35's unless you tow or haul heavy loads regularly.
