20's on a 05 EB expedition..what tire size

I am looking to add some shoes to my wifes EB expy....I like wandells 22's but I think I am going to stay with 20's just for cost and I dont want to worry about her getting jacked at the mall basically....I found a pic of some MB motoring bruzer wheels in chrome . what depth are these wheels ..are they 8.5's or 10's? Here is the only details I could find:

20inch MB Motoring BRUZER wheels with 285/50/20 Goodyear Fortera Silent Armor tires

what kind of jack am I am looking at to get this setup? and what size tires does that equate to, close to stock height?

I have never seen those bruzers in all chrome, only in that two tone model....which I dont like..but I think these look good and if the price is right could be sporting them by saturday

here is the link

A 305/50-20 is basically a 32x12.50-20. So they would be the same height as your stock tires, just 2 inches wider. I'm not sure about the specs on the MB wheels. You could try contacting Discount Tire and ask them.

what do you think about those? I dont want them to stick out...and since these are 285's these should be smaller than the 305's...maybe like a 32x11:50? Are those tires worth a crap? My specialty is offroad tires and wheels, I am a little lose on the bling bling side of things....to me all street tires look the same....

I talked to my buddy who is a manager at discount(before I saw this pic) and he was telling my to get pirelli scorpion atr I think tires in a 275/55/20 and was recommending getting the MB senna or the liquid metal TI? anyone have those?

I just dont want a shallow looking wheel, my buddy was saying to get 8.5's which used to mean the lip looked small...maybe that isnt the case here? I still would like to know if those are 10's or 8.5's in that pic?

thanks guys

The link isn't working for me. A 285/50-20 is basically a 31x11.50-20. The 275/55x20 is basically the same height, just about 1/2 inch narrower though. To give you an idea about backspacing, my wheels are 9.5 inches wide with 6.7 inches of backspacing. They are about even with the edge of my front fenders. I would not want any less backspacing. Most 20 inch and larger wheels have a lot of backspacing. You don't want them hanging outside the fenderwells for sure.

I run the 305-50-20 on my navi, and they hold the road nice. I would say sway away from pirelli, although they are nice tires they were oddly. They are soft compound and won't give you a lot of life either. I use goodyear eagle GTII's and they ride smooth, have 20000 miles on them and still have more than 50% tread life left.

Granted, I have air ride which compensates a little for the tires

what wheels are those you have? the guy at discount said he would give me a 60K warranty on the pirellis...i will never put that many miles on it I dont think

I am thinking i can get the MB Bruzer chrome in a 20x8.5 for 230 each..and the tires for 150 each....plus the stems, balancing and all that for a drive out of 1800 or so...then he is going to give me 300 for my stock tires only...so that gets me at 1500 drive out with tax......he doesnt want my wheels...is there any market for those? even 100 bucks?

That is an American Eagle Boss series 304.

When it comes to rims and tires, if you have a local buddy sometimes you can do well, but I bought a set of 20's, plus tires shipped to me (seperately purchased and shipped) and was at like $1200. Ebay is the name of the game. (they were series 301's first time, polished aluminum finish, hated it)

http://www.americaneaglewheel.com/wheels_search.cfm

That might or might not work. As for the warranty on the pirellis, remember two things. 1) warranties are pro-rated. 30000 miles later they ain't gonna give you new tires, they are just going to charge you less for new tires. 2) It's always a hassle to get warranty work done.

Kinda like tommy boy said, I can take a dump in a bag and mark it guaranteed for you if you want

well true, but I went to high school with this guy have probably bought over 10K of tires and wheels from him since then....I usually only buy two of the road harazd warranties but he gives all of them to me....Also my last set of tires I bought off ebay but he warrantied them since I bought my wheels from him....he hooks me up for the most part...I am just guessing on the prices above, he may be able to do better...Last time he gave me trade in on my tires but then let keep them so I got to sell them a second time....trade in 400 bucks, then resold them for 400 so I really got 800 for them...hopefully something like that can happen again.....

I know I could get some polished wheels for cheap but I want chrome so I dont have to clean them so hard....I do like your wheels though, I may get him to check on those as well...are the 10's or 8.5's?

They are 20x8.5

I know what the cost is, to a dealer of low volume, $696 for all four and a valve stem and lug nut kit. That was delivered by the manufacturer to a local dealer (me) and no shipping was involved. That also had a 5% local discount on it.

The tires I bought from cali on ebay from a new dodge ram takeoff. $400 + $90 shipping. (although they must have lost money on that shipping)
