Losing Air

I am thinking about purchaseing a set of Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys #6089, 16X8 for my 2001 4X2 Screw. However, when I went to local 4X4 shop, they advised the Pro Comp has a problem with air leaking through the alloy and not holding air very well. Has anybody heard of this happening? They tried to sell me some American Racing, but the Pro Comp's look good and I can't afford Weld Racing wheels.

Not sure how much extra cash you have. You could possibly get the space between the beads powdercoated or clearcoated? I mean if you like the rims that much it could help seal them up? Powdercoat is pretty thick and durable depending on how it's applied, and is so non porous that waterslide decals will not stick to it.,,,,98

That is the first I have ever heard of this, and there are several members here and at FTW with Pro Comp wheels. I think he was just trying to sell you his brand.
