18" BF Goodrich??

I want to put some 33" tall tires on my 05 FX4 Screw. I have a 2 inch leveling lift on the front and have 18 x 8 American Eagle rims. My question is what size tire do I need to be looking for to get the hieght that I want. Second can I get the ford shop or someone else to recal my oodo for the taller tires.

BFG makes the AT KO in 285/65-18 which is a 33x11.50-18. You might also consider the 325/60-18 (34x13.00-18) Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country AT. They are as good as the BFG AT KO's.

I'm new to the F150 thang. Since 33's will fit stock (LT285/65R18), couldn't you get something a bit bigger with a 2" leveling kit? Personally, I don't care for real wide tires...that's why I like the 285's. Hey BLY, where did you get your leveler? How much? BTW, Toyos suck (with all due respect), BFGs rock.

You are right. I have seen several F-150 4x4's fit 35x12.50's by using a leveling kit and stock 7.5 inch wide wheels. However, he has 8 inch wide aftermarket wheels which more than likely have a different backspacing than the OEM wheels. He may or may not be able to fit 35x12.50's. Wheel width and backspacing are just as important to fitment as tire size.

No doubt Wandell. That offset/backspacing can make or break ya. I plan to throw the BFG A/T LT285/70R17's with my stock suspension and wheels. Keepin' it easy.

My factory BFG's are 31" not 32.5". I am an E-Bay junkie. I got my lift from seller sprngbender for $106 delivered. They also have 2.5" levelers. It is an awsome product and fairly easy to instal with simple tools. Of course you will need a front end alignment as with all lifts. I got my wheels from steves_wheels for $779 plus shipping and they are awesome as well. I realize I could put the 2.5 lift and the 35" tires on my truck but I am not trying to push it to the limits I am just trying to make my truck a little different than the other 4 charcoal gray Screws in my parking deck at work. What about the odometer. Can I get that recaled to the 33's?

You can get it calibrated at the dealer for the optional 275/65-18's which are almost 33 inches tall.

My understanding is they can only calibrate the computer for OEM sizes. You would have to go to an aftermarket computer tuner to calibrate for a different size.
