stock '97 help

I have a '97 4x4 Supercab with stock suspension. I want to upgrade to new rims and a little bigger tires. Could anyone tell me what the largest tire size I can fit without a lift kit would be? Thanks.

I think my cousin has 265 75 R16's w/o a problem but I am not 100% sure of this. I would think you could still go a little bigger but its just a guess.

I'd suggest going with a 305/70-16 (33x12.50) on a 16x10 inch wheel. This is the best looking combo on a stock 4x4 to me. To fit this combo, you will have to crank up the torsion bars or trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower plastic valance.

Tires

You can do what Wandell said above or to save time and money you could also fit 16x8's with 285/75/16 and it will still look pretty good.

i agree with speedstang on the 16 x8 w/ 285/75/r16. I had these tires and wheels on before i did the torsion bar lift and they didnt rub at all, not even while turning and taking bumbs. I have tried the 305/70/r16 and the torsion bar tweak on 16x10's but you will have to get a 1.5 or 2.0 degree camber cam kit to keep your camber in place. without them you will just cup out the tread on the inside of the tire. trust me i ruined a good set of BFG ATKO's before i realized what i needed to do.
