i know it's been asked..looking for help with tire sizing
I have an 2004 FX4. The one that comes with the stock 18" wheel package. I was gonna put the 2" leveling kit on and want to go with taller, slightly wider AT tires. Catchy part is I plan on keeping the OEM wheels. Anyone able to recommend tire and tire size???THANKS

Tires
I have a 2004 with 17" wheels. I went with the 295/70-17 Basically a 33.19 x 11.5 inch tire. Fits and really fills the wheel wells in nicely with the 2" revteck leveling kit. (Tires do touch the ford mud flaps when backing and turning sharp) I also switched to a wider rim.
I would not personally recommend any tire larger. You also have to consider gearing, and other factors. I have a 4:10 gear ration so I am effected very little.
Your stock wheels are most likely 7.5" and anything over a 285 will be pinched on that width wheel. Most tire manufactures will tell you that you should have a rim wider than 7.5 for any tires 285 and up, but again it will depend who you ask. A 285 or 295 will go on the 7.5 inch rim but the center will be pushed up a little but for the most part should run ok.
Hope that this helps.
