New Goodyear Suv and Truck Line

Attended the new Goodyear Ride and Drive program at Gateway Intl. Raceway outside St. Louis last Friday. Goodyear is launching a new Wrangler line aimed towards trucks and a new Fortera aimed at SUV's. Both tires incorporate the Silent Armor Technology, which is geared towards being both durable and quiet. Tires did perform well, in the 180 degree turn test the Wrangler and Foretera both held up better on the outer shoulders than the BFG A/T KO and the Michelin Cross Terrain. However, the Wrangler doesn't look as rugged as the BFG and it costs 15% more also. I would still stick with the BFG's personally. These tests are based simply on 80 simultaneous turns at 180 degrees doing 40 MPH, which to me seems somewhat unrealistic, in my driving anyway. Plus the higher price doesn't help it out any either.
