New Rear Brakes

Just put on new rear brakes on my 2001 f150. I have rear disc brakes and took me about 2.5 hours to complete. I got bremo rotors and Hawk performance pads. The only trouble was removing the old rotors since they where rusted on. Plus they got hung up on the parking brake pads on the inside. What a PITA, but after beating them with a big hammer for a long time they finally came off.

Are you running the same combo up front? Let us know what you think.

No, I have stock rotors and pads up front. So far, the rears are working out great! Huge difference from the stock pads and rotors on the rear. I am thinking about getting new set for the front. Hopefully getting those rotors off with be easier...no e-brake! Next, I need to bleed my system...brake pedal is getting mushy.

If you have a 2WD, the front rotors will be much easier, but also more expensive (compared to 4x4). The rotors come as a hub assembly that just floats on the spindle. No beating necessary.
